Membership Report

The membership renewal period wrapped up in about half the time as in past years, but we still had about the same number of members that renewed their membership.  Historically, we have about 10-12% of the membership that don’t renew for whatever reason.  I’d like to see our turnover in membership get down around 5% or less.  The members that don’t renew because they forgot about it are the ones I’m concerned with.  As people get used to the shortened renewal period, I’m hoping they’ll take the time in October to renew their membership, so they won’t forget.

If you don’t receive your 4th quarter newsletter and the renewal form in it, PLEASE don’t wait until Dec. or even Jan. to do something about it.  You will miss the renewal deadline.  Please contact me, or go to the website and download the renewal form before the Nov. 15th deadline.  If your membership in WCF&W is IMPORTANT to you, YOU need to take some action to ensure it stays current.

I want to thank the 1,050 members that took the time to renew their membership in a timely manner.  Remember, the renewal period will run Oct.1 to Nov. 15.  After Jan.1, we will deactivate the cards of those people that don’t renew their membership, and they won’t be able to gain access to the range.  So hang onto your membership card, it will last as long as your dues are kept current.  Look for a shorter, simpler and, hopefully, better renewal form in 2009.

I’d like to thank Tom Fladung for all the assistance that he gave me in processing the new members during the seven orientation and safety classes in Jan.
